Chicago Interview Tips

Are you waiting for your dream interview before preparing? Are you waiting to be 100& sold on a position before selling your self? You may be making a big mistake, as many recruiters know, your performance on your first interview will probably not be your best performance, but your last interview probably will be. You will wish you "said this" or wish you "had not said that". You will realize after the interview your body language may have given off the wrong signals. You will wonder whether you gave the best impression about your priorities and interest in the position. You may even forget to get the business card, bring your resume, say thank you, or many other mistakes we recruiters observe even with the best educated and experienced professionals.

Before you will get any offers or 2nd interviews you will have to prepare and perform so that the interview results in this goal. If you find out during the interview that the job may not be 100% of your dream job, do not give up on your goal - You still need to know you are doing and saying the right things that will get you wanted, and giving up during an interview will not allow you to learn this. Remember you can always decide after the interview that the job is not a match, if you are indeed extended an offer or invited back for a 2nd interview. You can also follow up on any objections you have to the position and many times employers who want you will surprise you with their willingness to overcome your objections, or refer you to another better suited position or employer. Remember only good things can happen from a well performed interview, but giving up during the interview never helps.
